This is my very first time boarding a plane. Was on B737–400 MAS airplane. Hehe…I was terribly excited and scared actually when the plane is ready to take off at the railway. My heartbeat was really fast at that time. phew…was relieved that the take off was really good. A good experience anyway. My flight was a short internal flight to Bayan Lepas, Penang. Actually was quite disappointed because the plane that I am not boarding doesn’t feel like those I saw in the movies … The seats are kinda small and narrow. Hehe… also visited the toilet…and it’s terribly small also. We, the passengers were served with a cup of drink only. I took lots of pictures both at the airport and on the plane.  The plane landed slightly before 3pm.

Took a taxi to Hotel Vistana and check-in. The room Dr Ow and me are staying is 1409. The room was at the end of the row…with really nice scenery…Hehe…I have some sort of good feeling that we will get the award that night… Rested and took a bath and off we head to Hotel Equatorial for the dinner at about 630pm.

Was at Hotel Equatorial to attend the MSC APICTA dinner. Took several pictures as my digicam memory is running out. Our Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi, Deputy Prime Minister Najib, Penang Chief Minister Datuk Koh Tsu Koon, Sc & Tech Minister, etc… arrived at 9pm. Was really curious whether will we be the winner as there are 8 shortlisted nominees for our category (2 from APIIT, 5 from MMU and we are the only one from UM). When the announce the top 3 for our category, the 1st n 2nd in the list are from MMU and the last is us. And it sounds something like this, "’Best of Tertiary Student Projects - Software/Hardware’ and the Winner is ‘University of Malaya’ with ‘MyGraphology - A Computer-Aided Handwriting Analysis System for Career Guidance’". Wow…Dr Ow and me were terribly shocked and happy at the same time. Off I go to the stage to receive the award from the YB. Dato’ Sri Dr. Jamaludin Mohd Jarjis, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). hEHE..The trophy was really heavy and also the certificate was really big! HAd the opportunity to shake hands with Badawi also…:) The dinner ended at around 11pm.

Back to Hotel Vistana room. Shu Ling, my former Form 6 classmate came over to find me and we go out to yam cha together at Khalil in her new Hyundai Getz. Hehe…went to USM also to took some photos. Terribly tired and go to bed around 3am…

100905 630am
Wake up early to go downstairs for the free buffet breakfast. My flight back to KLIA was at 1115am and this time I am on the A330-200 MAS plane. This time the plane was really huge…hehe…looks like those in ‘Chong Shang Yun Xiao’. Safely reach KLIA and had a KFC lunch at Dr Ow,s place. Later took a bath and had a great sleep.

hehe…My team will be heading to Bali, Indonesia end of November for the Asia Pacific region.
